Carole Ludlow has a social science degree from the University of Nottingham and worked for several years as a Probation and After Care officer in Birmingham and London and then as a part-time adoption and child care officer in London. Since 1975 she has lived on the continent, first in Florence in Italy and then in Brussels, where her husband Peter founded and then directed a European think tank (CEPS). For 20 years Carole was head of the conference unit at CEPS organising conferences and seminars in Brussels and beyond. When Peter retired from CEPS to devote more time to writing the couple spent much of their time in Portugal where Carole started and ran an opera festival in the Minho and they were both active members of St James, Porto.
Since returning to live full time in Brussels where they work together in their own electronic publishing business, EuroComment, they have both become fully involved in the life of Holy Trinity.
