The Men’s Retreat 2018 will take place from 18:00 on Friday 23 November to 15:00 on Sunday 25 November at St Andrew’s Abbey, Zevenkerken. It’s being called ‘…with a Little Help from my Friends’. Men’s lives in late-modern capitalism are often marked by rivalry and competition. Yet, for us as social beings, healthy relationships are one of the most important sources of identity, meaning and happiness. In the unique setting of St Andrew’s Abbey (Sint-Andriesabdij) in Zevenkerken, the Men’s Retreat 2018 will explore the significance of friendship for contemporary Christian men. Led by Revd Chris Martin and Vikar Armin Kummer, activities will feature workshops, video, bible study and group discussion. Away from our daily work environments, we hope to find peace, enjoy a sense of fellowship, and grow in our faith. Participants will also have the chance to join the Benedictine monks for meals and during their prayers. Brochures are available on the church lobby table. To register please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and transfer the EUR 120 fee to ‘Friends of Holy Trinity’ account, IBAN number BE51 3635 2047 5162. Please write ‘Men’s Retreat 2018’ and ‘your name’ in the communication box. Places will be allocated on a ‘first paid-first booked’ basis.
