Thy Kingdom Come is a project launched by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, inviting Christians around the world to pray as one for people to know Jesus Christ. It is taking place from Ascension (May 10) to Pentecost (May 20). Visit the website https://www.thykingdomcome.global/ for general details.
A daily prayer leaflet will be available online. There are a few paper copies available at the end of today’s service. There is also a separate on-line activity.
Dates, in addition to regular services, include:
Thursday May 10 19:30 Holy Communion on Ascension Day
Saturday May 12 A Day of Prayer in church.
You can now sign up for our Day of Prayer on Saturday 12 May! The church will be open from 9am until 9pm with creative prayer stations to interact with and space for your own prayer and contemplation as we join in with the global movement of prayer for Thy Kingdom Come 2018. If you think you might like to come and pray some time during this day, please drop Lloyd an email (email@example.com) and he will send you the signup sheet.
For Thy Kingdom Come we will also have a social media activity for you to join in with. Each day a word or words will be shared by all official Holy Trinity social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). We invite you to reflect on the word(s) and then get creative! You might respond to the word with a picture, a drawing, a short poem, a prayer, or anything else that you can make, or that someone else has made which inspires you when you think about this word. You are then invited to share your response to the word on your preferred social media platform, tagging Holy Trinity, and using the hashtags (#HolyTrinityTKC and #ThyKingdomCome). We hope you will join us in this visible witness to our faith during the 10 days of Thy Kingdom Come!
